4 capture April Eddy Awards

News winners:
Sarah Elms and Liz Skalka each win for how they handled their respective stories about sexual assault victims.

Sarah wrote about a local Bill Cosby accuser, while Liz talked to an Ohio representative about being raped and later having an abortion. It’s clear they both earned the trust of their subjects on a very difficult topic.

Digital winner:
Elaine Sung is recognized in the digital category for her work with editing and preparing stories for the 52 series.

Elaine also is a “go-to” person for in-depth edits of longer stories and those of a legal nature.

Desk winner:
Ron Seibel wins for being a super-sharp copy editor who catches things in sports stories as well as news pages that desk members usually exchange after deadline.

As a Sylvania native, he has tons of institutional knowledge about the area sports community. He proactively updates late sporting events for the eBlade.

Each winner receives a $50 gas card.
