Proudfoot named City Editor; Brice becomes Managing Editor
Rona Proudfoot, who has worked on the copy desk at The Blade since she arrived in 2015, has been named the newsroom’s City Editor. Rona will be taking over later in May.
Rona, who often serves as the News Editor, will replace Mike Brice, who has been named and has been working as the Managing Editor.
A graduate of John Carroll University with a physics degree, Rona has experience in both newspapers and television. She has done some reporting, copy editing, photography, and also social media work.
Before coming to The Blade, Rona worked at WKYC-TV in Cleveland as a social media producer. Before that, she worked at the Chronicle-Telegram in Elyria and the Plain Dealer in Cleveland.
Mike was most recently the City Editor, but he also has been the Digital Manager at The Blade. Mike obtained an undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Toledo, a certificate in integrated marketing from West Virginia State university, and a master’s degree in communications from Weber State University.
