Briggs, Proudfoot, Fisher win February Eddys

David Briggs wins the News Eddy for his A1 story on college football and politics, several OSU stories for C1 during the month, and a great feature piece on Kareem Abdul-Jabbar coming to Authors! Authors! Three sections, in one month — a nice hat-trick.

The Desk Eddy goes to Rona Proudfoot in recognition of her efforts to help the copy desk. She paginated both A and B sections one week, and did the entire A section and the Academy Awards the next. She did this willingly, happily, and well.

Tom Fisher receives the Visual Eddy for his illustration that accompanied the Leap Year story in Peach.

Each winner receives a $50 gas card. Nominations for March Eddy Awards can be made at any time, but must be to Luann no later than noon on March 31.
