Meet Janet Stengle
A proud Toledo native, I am excited to come home to further develop my journalism experience as a summer intern.
Janet Stengle
I am an incoming junior at the University of Notre Dame, where I am a history major and journalism minor. My journalism career began in high school as editor of The Ursuline at St. Ursula Academy. In addition to my minor, I am the Assistant Design Manager for The Scholastic, our monthly student magazine. Last summer, I was an intern at Toledo City Paper, promoting local art events.
For the past six weeks, I studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland with 40 other Notre Dame students focusing on Irish history and literature. Back on campus in South Bend, I work as a tour guide and serve as Junior Class Vice President.
I am an avid swimmer, though nothing beats football season at ND. If I am ever caught singing under my breath, it is most likely an attempt at a rap from Hamilton, the American Musical. I am known for sporting baseball hats and, of course, anything 419. Go Irish!
