It’s Detroit Three, not Big Three
When referring to General Motors, Ford Motor and Chrysler as a group, please use Detroit Three. Not Big Three.
Traditionally, GM, Ford, and Chrysler were referred to as the Big Three in the auto industry. However, years ago, Toyota and Volkswagen took over two of those slots. So, the term to use should be Detroit Three automakers or just Detroit Three for headlines.
We have added entries in The Blade Stylebook under Big Three and Detroit Three.
