Meet intern Areeba Shah
Areeba is a fourth-year communication major with a focus in journalism at the University of Toledo.

She has worked as a staff reporter, community editor, and now serves as the Editor-in-Chief of her college newspaper, The Independent Collegian.
In the past, she has written stories about the opioid epidemic, human trafficking, animal rights, and other social justice issues.
Areeba is a big foodie who enjoys running, traveling, and participating in any activity that requires being outdoors.
She is looking forward to further developing her skills as a reporter at The Blade while working with individuals who are as passionate about journalism as her.
