Meet Kaitlin Durbin

Kaitlin joins The Blade after covering public safety for nearly four years at The Gazette in Colorado Springs.

Most recently, she started the paper’s first podcast, Colorado Cold Case, which re-examines unsolved murder and missing person cases in hopes of developing new leads.

In her spare time, Kaitlin loves to hike, camp and try anything new (except for food, because she’s a picky eater). She’s eyeing piano and Spanish lessons and hoping to get a dog very soon.

Kaitlin is a proud Ohio native, growing up two hours down the road in Knox County and graduating from Ohio Northern University. She’s excited to get back to her roots and make a difference in her home state.
