NEWS EDDY
Who doesn’t love reading about a wardrobe malfunction? Well, we know Kirk Baird enjoys writing about his. The News Eddy goes to Kirk for a very entertaining column about what it’s like to lose your pants (at least a little) in front of a very large audience.

DESK EDDY
Al Ponzio is deserving of the Desk Eddy. For two months, the city desk rotated night city editors. Al’s skills and experience are regularly helpful, but they were especially so during this rotation of different editors. He also has great institutional knowledge, which regularly provides useful with his daily pages and demands.

VISUAL EDDY
They were in the dark, but Jeremy Wadsworth got the shot. Jeremy wins the Visual Eddy this month for capturing a LaSalle building resident using a flashlight to get into his apartment. In addition to it being a great photo illustrating the power outage, Jeremy climbed nine flights of stairs to get the photo.

DIGITAL EDDY
Kurt Steiss wins in this category for his efforts of shooting photos and videos in Newfoundland. He also produced a very eye-catching Toledo Magazine page, complete with video from the beautiful area.

Each winner receives a $50 gas card. Nominations for the July Eddy Awards are due to Kim Bates anytime before the end of business on Thursday, July 31.
