We thank you, Blade photographers

Our team of photographers, Dave Zapotosky, Jetta Fraser, Lori King, Amy Voigt, Rebecca Benson, Jeremy Wadsworth, Kurt Steiss, and Phil Kaplan are overdue for recognition for their work during the coronavirus and also for their coverage of the ongoing protests.

For this, all eight are being recognized for May as Eddy winners.

Like others, the photographers were sent from the office when the virus struck, but they never really had an option of working from home.

All of the photographers were out in the public, covering virus testing sites, shooting features of people doing unusual things during the pandemic, rushing to breaking news, and oftentimes finding and executing their own stories or assignments.

Now, with the protests, they are also out constantly, walking miles with protesters or photographing at chaotic protest locations.

We thank each of you for your dedication to The Blade, to photography, and for always being ready to rush out on news.

Each photographer receives a $50 gift card to his or her restaurant of choice.
