Gruver is 2nd quarter Eddy winner

Alicia Balog Gruver joined The Blade copy desk in 2015, rising through the ranks to become copy desk chief today. If you’ve worked with Alicia, you know that she is a master problem solver, especially when it comes to workarounds for the finicky Libercus system.

When Tony Durham is off, usually Sunday and Monday, Alicia serves as the night editor, supervising the output of 8-10 copy editors and designers in national, local, and sports.

For her newsroom “treat,” Alicia has requested build-your-own sundaes, which was set up in the editorial conference on Thursday, June 29.
