Blade scores 19 awards in Ohio News Photographers contest

Blade photographers were awarded 19 awards, including three first place awards, during the Ohio News Photographers 2019 Still Photo Contest.

First Place winners were Jeremy Wadsworth in the Feature category, Kurt Steiss in the News Picture Story Category, and former Blade photographer Andy Morrison in the Pictorial Category.

The Blade staff won third place in large market Staff of the Year category.

Individual awards by photographer are:

Jeremy Wadsworth:
1st – Feature, 2nd – Monthly Clip Contest Photographer of the Year, Award of Excellence -Pictorial.

Kurt Steiss:
1st – News Picture Story, Award of Excellence – Sports Photographer of the Year, 2nd – Sports Feature, Award of Excellence – Sports Action

Andy Morrison:
1st – Pictorial, Award of Excellence – Pictorial, Award of Excellence – Portrait Personality, 3rd – Sports Action, 3rd – Sports Feature, Award of Excellence – Spot News

Rebecca Benson:
3rd – Monthly Clip Contest Photographer of the Year, 2nd – General News, Award of Excellence – Feature

Amy Voigt:
2nd – Pictorial

Lori King:
2nd – Spot News
