Mileage rate decreases for 2017

The Blade's mileage rate for business travel is going down 0.5 cents per mile, beginning Jan. 1, 2017. The company will reimburse employees 53.5 cents per mile when they use their personal vehicle for business travel.

New network password policy

When your password expires, you will now need to use a more complex password when logging into the Blade internal network. The change does not affect your email password. Click for the requirements.

Jeep books have arrived

Employees who purchased Toledo Loves Its Jeep books can pick them up in the Payroll office. The Payroll Office is located on the first floor before you enter the Finance Department.

Maneuvering new website paywall

The Blade has launched a new paywall for visitors to toledoblade.com, but Blade employees can still access unlimited articles for free.To create an account, go to toledoblade.com, and click "Register" in the top right hand corner of the screen, then enter your Blade email address, a password and click "Create an account."

Big employee discount for Jeep book

The company is making The Blade Jeep Book available to employees at 50 percent off the retail price. The cost now is $13.37 ($12.47 plus tax). Three-book limit and employee orders are pick up only.

Users can now print toledoblade.com stories. Libercus technicians have created a print button atop all stories, so users can click a green button and make a copy of a Blade story.

2016 Toledo Air Show
