Attorney Fritz Byers coming for summer lunchtime sessions

Fritz Byers, who represents The Blade newsroom with legal issues, is coming to The Blade for two sessions this summer.

Fritz will be here at noon on Wednesday, June 26 and again at noon on Wednesday, July 24. We will be scheduling other sessions as well.
Some topics proposed for discussion include:

• Public-records and public-meetings law, including our rights, changes in the law, and how we can effectively assert our rights
• Social media: how to use posted content legally
• Defamation and privacy
• News-gathering issues – how to do our jobs without violating the law
• Confidential sources
