Give us your ideas for gift guides

Now that fall is upon us, our thoughts turn to changing leaves, pumpkin spice latte and . . . Blade holiday gift guides.

We’ll be doing the guides again this year, with assignments going out by mid October, and the first guide running on Nov. 23, the day after Thanksgiving. There will be the usual assortment of topics — electronics, local foods, gifts for sports fans etc. — but a few reporters have suggested the need for some fresh categories.

You’re invited to suggest some new topics. Send your ideas to Mike Pearson . We’ll need to send the final list to advertising shortly thereafter so they can try to line up clients who might want to buy an ad for a specific category.

Bottom line: What kind of gifts would you like to see included that we haven’t addressed before?
