Management changes on City Desk

At the end of the year, City Editor Mike Walton plans to leave The Blade and pursue a new career path.

Mike is going to study law at the University of Toledo, a path some other former coworkers have taken.

While we certainly regret he’s leaving us, we wish Mike a great experience there.

With his departure, we’ve selected Mike Brice to take over as city editor. A longtime Toledoan and graduate of UT, Mike’s shown his abilities for juggling many tasks and for deftly pursuing the news. He’s also already worked on a variety of projects with many of you.

This leaves an opening for Mike Brice’s job as digital manager for The Blade’s online products. We will be advertising for this job.
