Marking an important date
We might not all know this, but we should.
Wednesday, May 3, 2023, marks the 30th anniversary of World Press Freedom Day, declared as such three decades ago by the United Nations General Assembly.
And it’s something we should celebrate. The observance, being recognized worldwide, is a reminder to governments and others of the need to respect press freedom while also serving as a day of reflection for us.
To show our support, we’ve tracked down some Freedom of the Press stickers.
If you’d like to have one, please stop by my office. And if you’re so inclined, please let me know one thing you enjoy about being a journalist.
