Meet 2024 intern Lily Belle Poling

Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Lily Belle is a sophomore at Yale University studying English and Global Affairs.

At Yale, she is a reporter for the Yale Daily News, where she covers climate and the environment in New Haven. She has reported on environmental activists, recycling and composting campaigns, climate policy, and other sustainability issues facing the city. She is also Head Production and Design Editor at the News, where she designs the weekly print paper.

In her spare time, Lily Belle enjoys playing soccer, exploring coffee shops and bookstores, going hiking, and reading outside. In Toledo, she is looking forward to exploring the food scene and the outdoors while also checking out art and live music.
