Meet Amanda Levine

Amanda has joined The Blade’s sports staff as a general assignment reporter.

A Brooklyn, N.Y., native, Amanda is a 2020 graduate of Kent State University with a degree in journalism and a minor in sports administration.

At Kent State, she found a passion for telling sports stories that go beyond the box score. She was a sports reporter and, later, the sports editor for the Kent Stater, Kent State’s student-run newspaper. As the sports editor, she oversaw the daily coverage of Kent State athletics and covered the softball team.

As a post grad, Amanda spent her time writing for two sports websites and watched NPR’s tiny desk Concerts series.
