Meet Conor Johnson
Conor Johnson joins The Blade as a summer reporting intern.
He will be a senior at Yale University majoring in neuroscience. Conor is a former staff reporter for the Yale Daily News, where he covered politics and science, as well as a former managing editor of the Yale Scientific, a science journalism publication on campus.
In terms of non-journalistic endeavors, Conor works in an immunology lab, studying ways to limit the immune system’s response following a stroke. He also volunteers at a clinic in New Haven, co-hosts a weekly radio show, and is a thoroughly mediocre pitcher for Yale’s thoroughly mediocre club baseball team.
Conor grew up in Oak Park, Ill., as the oldest of two brothers. He was routinely destroyed by his journalist parents in Scrabble throughout his childhood, but they also instilled in him a passion for journalism that eventually brought him to The Blade.
Conor’s email address is [email protected] and his cell phone is 630-452-8660.
