Meet Danielle Gamble

Danielle joins The Blade’s digital team after working as city editor and paginator for three years at the Olean Times Herald, a community daily in Western New York.

Her work at the OTH included leading the first investigative reporting team in the paper’s history, which netted seven New York State media awards for editorial and design over two years. She also was project manager for both a 2016 redesign of the paper and Bradford Publishing Company’s recent web-integrated CMS transition.

Previously, she worked for two years as the executive director of the Collegian Media Foundation, the nonprofit formerly in charge of running the student newspaper at the University of Toledo.

Danielle is returning to the area after graduating from Bedford High School and then UT, where she studied music. She thought she wanted to be a band teacher before realizing she liked journalism a lot and cursed too much to work with children.
