Meet Donn Walden
I come from the Chattanooga (Tenn.) Times Free Press, where I was a sports page designer/copy editor from August 2015 through September 2016.
Previously I worked at the Daytona Beach (Fla.) News-Journal in the same capacity from October 2014 to June 2015.
Before that, I worked at the Newark (Ohio) Advocate as a sports copy editor in the Media Network of Central Ohio, a subsidiary of Gannett. I was in charge of copy editing stories from five Gannett sites in southern Ohio, including the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette, the Chillicothe Gazette, the Zanesville Times Recorder, and the Coshocton Tribune. I was there from August 2007 until September 2014.
I worked at several other smaller dailies in Ohio when I was a sports editor.
I’m a huge sports fan. My favorite teams are the Blue Jackets, Indians, Cavaliers, Browns, and Buckeyes.
I have a 5-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son. My wife, Jennifer, and I live in Toledo near Springfield High School.
