Meet intern Asha Prihar

Asha is a new summer intern at The Blade and an incoming junior studying political science at Yale University.

At Yale, Asha reports for the Yale Daily News on the student life beat. This year, she has covered stories ranging from a student-led crusade against the reduction of books in Yale’s main undergraduate library to lawsuits against the University for alleged Title IX violations.

In her spare time, Asha likes to go for walks and sample non-coffee beverages from coffee shops around New Haven. And despite experiencing rejections from five a capella groups, she loves to watch stage musicals and sing show tunes with her friends.

A lifelong resident of central Pennsylvania, Asha is excited to spend the summer reporting on a city 10 times the size of her hometown and getting to know her home state’s neighbor to the west!
