Meet Kimberly Wynn
Kimberly’s first story, about a Seneca County tractor pull, was published by The Advertiser-Tribune in Tiffin when she was 15.
Since then, she has carried her journalistic credentials from Ohio to New York, Michigan, and the Dakotas.
She has returned to her home state after taking a 1.5-year hiatus from media upon leaving her position as managing editor at North Dakota’s Grand Forks Herald during the height of the pandemic. She is tired of -30-degree temperatures. She also has worked as a radio news announcer and disc jockey, newspaper reporter, copy editor, paginator, and newsprint and web editor.
At The Blade, Kimberly will be part of our digital team.
Kimberly has two sons. Aaron is a computer programmer for Gerber’s insurance division and lives in downtown Grand Rapids, Mich. Justin is a cameraman for WOOD-TV8 in Grand Rapids, and he lives down a dirt road in Lowell, Mich., with his wife, Chelsea, and their newborn daughter, Margo. Kimberly’s parents, Ken and Helen Fulk, reside in the Toledo area.
Kimberly enjoys photography, kayaking, reading, gardening, and attending concerts. Her favorite Netflix series is Stranger Things. She spent the past winter in Tampa, where she worked as a host for Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant.
Kimberly’s email address is [email protected] and her work extension is 6071.
