Meet Nick Huenefeld

Nick is a member of the digital team for The Blade.

Born in Toledo, Nick spent the past four years as the Associate Director of Athletic Communications at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Fla. Prior to that, he served six years as the sports information director at Owens Community College. He also spent six months handling sports agate and working on the photo desk at The Blade in early 2017.

Nick is a 2010 graduate of Bowling Green State University.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys going to the movies and following his favorite sports teams — Ohio State, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Pistons, and Miami Dolphins. With the move back to Toledo, he’s also looking forward to spending time with family, especially his niece and nephew.
