Meet Trevor Hubert

I’m Trevor, the city government reporter for The Blade.

I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Mich. I earned my Bachelor of Science in multimedia journalism from Grand Valley State University in April 2021. During my time at GVSU, I worked as a news reporter for our paper, The Lanthorn. After graduation, I moved to Ohio and covered government and politics for The Lima News before moving to The Blade.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy watching sports and am a big fan of all the Detroit sports teams. I also enjoy playing video games, traveling, and exploring new places and spending time with my friends and family back home.

I’m excited to be a part of the reporting team at The Blade and have a great opportunity to produce impactful work.
