Meet Zack Lemon
Zack is a new general assignment reporter.
He is from the Cleveland area originally, but his last (and first) job in journalism was as a breaking news reporter for the Mansfield News Journal, starting part-time in March and going full-time in May, following graduation. There, he covered everything from the Pokemon Go craze to city council to the heroin problem in Richland County, along with breaking crime coverage.
He graduated from Ashland University in May 2016, with a degree in digital media journalism and political science. He was the editor of the weekly campus paper, The Collegian, as a junior, and worked as the paper’s senior reporter as a senior. He also worked for the campus television and radio stations.
He is a huge Cleveland sports fan, riding the success of the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers through the miserable football season to come. He was also a political junkie before it was his job to be one.
His parents still live in the Cleveland area, and he has one brother, Matt, who is a culinary student in Louisville, Ky.
Zack’s email address is [email protected] and is work extension is 6282. Welcome to The Blade.
