Re: Changes at The Blade
Several of our colleagues have accepted increased responsibilities within the organization, effective immediately. Steve Dolley, Controller at The Blade for 16 years, has accepted the position of Director, Finance & Information Technology, a role I have just vacated. Steve will be responsible for leading all finance and I.T. operations here at The Blade.
Isabel Sloan, currently Human Resources & Production Administrator, becomes The Blade’s Human Resources Coordinator, and will be managing all local human resources, benefits, and workers’ compensation activities – Isabel will be the point of contact for all Blade employee questions and concerns.
Luann Sharp, in addition to her role as Assistant Managing Editor, has accepted responsibility for managing all issues related to The Blade’s collective bargaining agreements.
And, Mike Merem adds management responsibility for all facilities, security, and safety issues, to his current role of Director, Production. These functions were previously managed by Bill Nolan, who is no longer with The Blade.
I know that these team members will effectively perform these additional tasks for us, as we continue to battle the significant challenges our industry faces. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding these organizational changes, which are intended to strengthen our ability to grow as an organization.
