Mester, Kaplan, Morrison win September Eddy Awards
It was another month of great special projects that made selecting Eddy winners a challenge.

Alex Mester
Here are your winners:
The News Eddy goes to Alex Mester for her two-part series on Diann Wears, and her dog Cow, homeless on Toledo’s streets primarily because many places don’t accept pets.
It had a happy ending, though, as readers stepped up to help.

Phil Kaplan
Phil Kaplan receives the Desk Eddy for his efforts to design the Blade Jeep book, honoring 75 years of Jeep in Toledo. The book doesn’t come out until later this month, but Phil’s efforts absorbed most of his September.

Andy Morrison
The Visual Eddy goes to Andy Morrison for photos of homeless Diann Wears and her dog, Cow.
Each receives a $50 gas card.
Nominations for October Eddy Awards can be made at any time during October, but must be submitted to Luann by noon on Monday, Oct. 31.
