Mileage rate increases for 2018

The Blade’s mileage rate for business travel is going up 1 cent per mile.

As of the Jan. 1, 2018, the company will reimburse employees 54.5 cents per mile when they use their personal vehicle for business travel. The new rate, based on the Internal Revenue Service, compares to a rate of 53.5 cents per mile for 2017.

The IRS standard mileage rate for business is based on an annual study of the fixed and variable costs of operating an automobile.
