New WiFi in Blade building
You will be seeing the IT Team installing new WiFi hotspots across The Blade building. This will ensure a better network, faster connection, and less downtime.
There will be a brief interruption, however, and I want to outline what you may see over the next week or so.
When the new WiFi Hotspot goes into your work area, your current network (ToledoBlade, PublicAccess, ToledoBladeGuest) will go down temporarily and be replaced with brand new networks named ToledoBlade-New, PublicAccess-New, and ToledoBladeGuest-New.
If you already have the password for the old network, you can use the same password to access the new ones as well.
This is only a temporary measure until all the new access points are installed and then the networks will revert back to the old ToledoBlade/PublicAccess naming convention. If you are having trouble, please do not hesitate to ask the IT Staff or submit a helpdesk ticket.
For those that currently use the Blade1 network, this will no longer be the network you connect to. You can contact the IT Staff or submit a ticket and we will place you on the proper network.
Sorry for any inconvenience, but we look forward to having blazing fast wireless Internet!
