Photo staff captures 8 Ohio awards

The Blade photo staff won eight awards in the 2015 Ohio News Photographers Association annual photo contest, which was judged over the weekend. 

Our winning team photo story chronicled  the death of  Mayor D. Michael Collins. The entry was comprised of photos from all staff members.

Also worth noting is that former photo intern Isaac Hale was named student photographer of the year. A few weeks ago former intern Julia Nagy was named Michigan’s student photographer of the year.
