Applications due June 1

The Blade Foundation has announced that one $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified student entering college in the fall of 2017.

The scholarship is renewable each year for a total of four years, providing performance is satisfactory and that the student is at all times a recognized candidate for a degree. The scholarship may be applied to college expenses as the student desires.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must be a child or legal dependent of a full-time employee of The Blade with at least three years’ continuous service with the company. Children of officers or directors of the company are not eligible.

The Scholarship Committee will review the applications and make the final selection, which is based on ACT scores. Students must score 25 or higher to qualify. In the event of a tie, ACT Writing scores will be used to determine the winner.

Application forms are available from the Human Resources Department.

All applications and ACT scores (including Writing scores if available) must be submitted to Human Resources by Thursday, June 1, 2017.
