Sports Style Snapshot

In sporting events, we should use numerals in most cases.

Example: We already say the Tigers beat the Indians 3-1, not three-to-one. So when we are in playoff situations, we would say the Walleye series is tied at 1-1, not one-to-one.

We would also say it’s a best-of-7 series, not a best-of-seven series. This would be the same style for the World Series, NBA playoffs, etc.
