Bilyeu takes top nods in national competition

Bonjour and Bon Appetit! Mary Bilyeu, The Blade’s food editor, has received several recognitions in the National Federation of Press Women’s at-large communications contest. In particular, a piece she wrote about Julia Child (see link below) received first place and will advance for further national placement, which will be announced June 25. She also won second place for both column and food writing, as well as an honorable mention for the feature story, “Melting Pot celebrates cultural cuisine at Toledo Hospital.”
