Markey reels in Outdoor Writers of Ohio honors

Blade Outdoors Editor Matt Markey made an impressive showing recently in the 2021 Outdoor Writers of Ohio Excellence in Craft Contest.

Matt won citations in the categories of Outstanding Media Achievement, Best Newspaper Article, Best Column, Best Newspaper Special Section or Series, Best Newspaper Feature, Best How-to Article, Best Travel Article, and Best Environmental Writing. In four of the categories, Matt won first-place awards.
