Meet Alexa Scherzinger

Hi, I’m Alexa, the criminal justice reporter for The Blade.

While studying journalism, fashion design, and French at Miami University, I began my reporting career by writing about arts and politics for The Oxford Observer.

After graduating in 2020, I moved to Findlay, Ohio to write for the Tiffin Advertiser-Tribune and Fostoria Review-Times, mostly focusing on business, politics, and education. A year and a half later, I moved to The Blade to cover one of the beats I’m most passionate about — criminal justice.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my feline daughter, Bisou. I also play far too many video games.

I am excited to continue my mission to give a voice to the voiceless through my work at The Blade.
