Monthly newsroom ‘food events’; Proudfoot is employee for June

With the ice cream delivery, we said we were starting monthly newsroom food events.
These are happening and they’ll be held in conjunction with the monthly recognition of one newsroom employee. This employee will win a $50 gift card to a business of his or her choice, and the winner also gets to pick the food/snack to be served for the entire newsroom the following month.
Rona Proudfoot is the newsroom employee for June.
We thank Rona for her versatility on the copy desk, as well as her generosity with her time. Rona has been pulling double duty daily. She’s also been training other staff members on new roles.
Rona can jump around seamlessly to a variety of different jobs, and this is very helpful to the copy desk and the newsroom as a whole. We know she’s food daring, as she tried some of the vegan ice cream from Jacky’s Depot in Maumee. So, we’ll await her food selections for the rest of us.
