Meet Michael Burwell

Michael joins The Blade as a sports writer where he will be covering Bowling Green State University athletics.

Michael previously worked as sports editor for The Bryan Times in Bryan, as well as The Courier in Findlay. He was also a part-time sports agate reporter for The Blade in 2019.

He has worked as a groundskeeper at several golf courses in northwest Ohio as well, including Inverness Club and Findlay Country Club.

Michael graduated from Ohio State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. In his free time, Michael enjoys hanging out with friends and family back in his hometown of Ottawa and playing sports, especially golf and bowling.
