Come celebrate Matt Markey

After 50 years in journalism, more than 30 years of which were spent at The Blade, Matt is retiring.

During his two stints of working here, he’s been an important part of the sports department. He’s worked in a variety of roles, including covering auto racing and local college sports. Most recently, he’s served as the paper’s Outdoors Editor for 13 years.

Matt is a native of northwest Ohio and also a Bowling Green State University graduate.
